Barry County Sheriff Information

The Barry County Sheriff’s Office operates the county jail. The Administration Division is located next to the jail. The current Sheriff is Danny Boyd. Boyd oversees all county law enforcement personnel, including deputies, detectives, corrections officers, and administrative staff. The current Chief Deputy is Major Angela Cole. The office’s administrative hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Barry County occupies an area of 791 square miles in southwest Missouri. In 2020, the population was 34,534. Cassville is the county seat and the largest city is Monett. There is a town named Barry that is located just north of Kansas City, not in Barry County.
