Commissary is operated by Keefe Commissary Group. Funds may be added to inmates’ accounts via the kiosk in the front lobby of the Sheriff’s Office, which accepts cash and debit/credit cards. Deposits can also be made on the Access Corrections website.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is conducted by video and operated by HomeWAV. Visitors must register on their website to participate in visitation. Registration information is sent to the Johnson County Detention Center for approval. Upon approval, visits may be scheduled. Visitation is held onsite from a kiosk in the lobby or remotely.

Johnson County Sheriff Information

The Johnson County jail is administered by the local Sheriff’s Office. The current Sheriff Scott Munsterman and the Chief Deputy is Major Aaron Brown. Captain Mike Hanes is Divisions Commander, Lieutenant Andy Gobber is the Patrol Division Commander, and Lieutenant Jeff Parsons is the Criminal Investigations Division Commander. The office’s administrative hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
