How to Send Mail or Package

Personal mail to individuals housed at the jail must be in the form of postcards no larger than 4.25 inches by 6 inches. Postcards must contain the sender’s full name and address as well as the recipient’s name (and preferably cell assignment). No stickers, labels, stains, lipstick, or other foreign substances are allowed. Stamps will be removed before postcards are delivered. Metered postcards are preferred.

Commissary is operated by CityTeleCoin. Funds may be added to commissary accounts by clicking the Commissary Deposit link on their website. Commissary packages may also be purchased on the website and sent directly to the jail.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is held on Saturdays. Males may have visits from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and females from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. Each pod has set times for visits and these are first come, first serve. Two visitors are allowed for each visit. Other visitors are required to wait outside the building until their scheduled visit.

McDonald County covers the southwestern corner of Missouri. It covers an area of 540 square miles. The county shares its southern border with Arkansas and its western border with Oklahoma. The population was 23,303 at the 2020 census. Pineville is the county’s seat and Anderson its largest city.

The law requires the Office to employ a custodian of records who is responsible for responding to public records requests. Requests may be delivered in any format (i.e. by phone, mail, email, fax or in person), but written requests are preferred. Requests should provide as much detail as available about the records (including relevant names, locations, dates, etc) and the contact information of the person making the request.
