Andrew County jail is located in Savannah, Missouri. The facility opened in 2012 and has a capacity of 80 inmates. It is divided into 7 cell block areas, 3 maximum security, 1 medium security, 2 low-risk, and 1 hold hold subjects detained for investigation of a crime. The jail also holds detainees for the City of Savannah, Country Club Village, Clinton County, Holt County, City of Independence Mo, Jackson County Mo, Lees Summit Mo, and Wyandotte County KS. The current Jail Administrator is Deputy Kelsey House.

The inmate roster is available online and is divided into two sections: current inmates and those released in the past 48 hours. Information provided includes inmates’ identifying details, chargest, booking date and number, arresting agency, bond, and mugshots.

How to Send Mail or Package

Incoming personal mail to inmates must go through the U.S. Postal Service and will be inspected for contraband. Outgoing mail will be on postcards. All mail should include a return address with the sender’s full name and home address.

Funds may be deposited into inmates’ accounts using the kiosk machine in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office or online at the Inmate Canteen website. Depositing online requires registering for an account.

Visitation Hours

Inmates at Andrew County jail are allowed two 30-minute visits per week. Visitors must have a photo ID and arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the visit’s scheduled start time. Visitation is held Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am – 11:30am and from 1:00pm-4:30pm. Offsite visitation is operated by Inmate Canteen and held Monday through Friday from 11am to 8pm. Visits may be scheduled and purchased online at their website.

Andrew County Sheriff Information

The county jail is operated and maintained by the Andrew County Sheriff’s Office. Grant Gillett has been the Sheriff since 2020. The Chief Deputy is Charlie Donahoo. The enforcement staff includes two sergeants and 12 deputies. Their names are available on the Sheriff’s Office website. The office’s administrative hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 3:30pm
