Linn County Public Records Information

Missouri’s Sunshine Law mandates that records kept by the Sheriff’s Office be made available to the public on request. Each office is required to have a custodian of records who is responsible for responding to public records requests. Kaley Rodenberg is the Custodian of Records for the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. While the Sunshine Law does not mandate the format or delivery method of requests, Linn County requires requests to be written and they cannot be submitted by fax. There is an online portal where records requests can be made directly. Requests should provide the contact information of the person making the request and as many details as possible about the records being requested (i.e. addresses, names of subjects, other identifying information, report number, etc). Copy fees are $0.10 per page and a $13 per hour research fee.
