How to Send Money

To deposit money to an inmate’s commissary account, create an account at the CareaCell website. Up to $300 may be deposited. The inmate will incur a $2.95 fee when accessing the funds and a 4% fee is charged on all credit card transactions.

Visitation Hours

Video visitation is operated by HomeWAV. To set up video visitation, create an account on their website, select the Mississippi County failcity and the inmate to be visited, and provide your contact information and photograph. Once approved, visits may be purchased and scheduled.

Mississippi County Sheriff Information

The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office operates the local jail. The current Sheriff is Britton Ferrell. Roy Moore is the Chief Deputy and David Watkins is the Undersheriff. The staff also includes Captain Barry W. Morgan, Sergeant Mike Borders, and Deputies John Blakely and Jonathan Hall. The office’s administrative hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
