Lincoln County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Lincoln County jail is a detention facility located in Troy, Missouri. The current facility was completed in 1996. Captain Orville Lester is the current Jail Administrator. The former facility is now the Lincoln County Old Jail Museum.

The inmate roster is available online. It provides inmates’ names, identifying details, booking, arrest, and bond information, classifications, and mugshots.

How to Send Mail or Package

Personal mail to inmates must be on postcards. Books may be sent directly
only in the form of a postcard with the exception of legal mail from a third party vendor (such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble) The inmate’s name should be included on the shipping label.

Funds may be added to inmates’ commissary accounts at a kiosk in the jail lobby or on the Commissary Deposit website.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is held onsite from the jail lobby on Monday through Friday from 6pm to 10pm and on the weekends from 8am to 3:45pm. Visitors should call the jail to schedule an appointment.

Each office is required to employ a custodian of records who is responsible for responding to public records requests. The law does not dictate a format for records requests, though written requests are generally preferred and sometimes required. Requests should describe the records sought in as much detail as possible and provide the contact information for the person making the request.
