Cole County Detention Center holds an average of 140 – 150 inmates a day. We are currently capable of holding 207 inmates, with space for future expansion that could double that number.We book in over 6,000 people a year. This is all done with a staff of 33 full-time Detention Deputies and Jailers, and 12 part-time Detention Deputies and Jailers.

Most Missouri county jail inmate rosters are available online at VineLink. Their rosters may be searched by an inmate’s full or partial name or ID number. Information provided includes inmates’ identifying details, detainment location, arrest, charge, booking, and bond information, and mugshots, when available.

How to Send Mail or Package

Cole County jail only accepts postcards no larger than 4×6” as incoming personal mail for inmates. The postcards must be metered and include the sender’s full name and return address. They must not contain any labels, stickers, or other substances. Mail should be addressed to:

Funds may be added to inmates’ accounts in several ways. A kiosk in the jail lobby accepts cash and debit/credit cards and charges a $4 fee per deposit. Funds may be added online at the Inmate Deposits website or by calling 866-345-1884. Money orders made payable to the inmate may be mailed to the jail.

Visitation Hours

Visitation at the Cole County jail is operated by HomeWAV. Visitors are required to register for an account, which requires one business day to be approved. Remote visits cost $.25 per minute and onsite video visitation from the Cole County Sheriff’s Office is free. Onsite visitation hours are Monday and Wednesday from 1pm to 4pm and Friday from 9am to 11am. Remote visitation hours are daily from 9am to 11am, 1pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 9pm.
