Funds may be deposited into inmates’ commissary accounts online at Access Corrections website, by phone at 1-866-345-1884, at a kiosk in the jail lobby, or by mailing money orders made payable to Jackson County Detention Center. The memo line should include the inmate’s name and sequence number. A maximum of $60.00 Securepak (family packages) may also be ordered online at Access Catalog and shipped directly to inmates.

Visitation Hours

All visitation is conducted by video and may be held onsite or remotely. All visitors must have a photo ID and any minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Inmates may have one on-site visit per day from 8am-11am and 1:30pm-4pm. Special extended visits are available upon approval for visitors traveling from more than 75 miles away or in hardship cases. Remote visits are also available for $0.10/minute. These may be held daily from 5am-6am, 8am-11am, 1:30pm-4pm, and 6:30pm-9:30pm. To schedule and/or purchase visits, go to the SmartJailMail website. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and may be scheduled up to one week in advance.

The Jackson County jail is administered by the local Sheriff’s Office. The current Sheriff is Darryl Forté. The staff also includes Major Ward Smith, Colonel Ronald Fletcher, and Major Michael Montgomery. The office’s administrative hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
